Skin Type: For All Skin Types.

Best For: Hyperpigmentation & Discoloration.

A tranexamic acid-infused serum, contains 3% (previously 2%) advanced form of tranaxemic acid (cetyl tranexamate mesylate), which is known to penetrate deeper into the skin than tranexamic acid itself, due to its lipophilic (lipid-loving) nature. This molecule likes to mix into our skin lipids, which is our skin barrier. From there it provides a steady release of the active compound and attack discoloration at deeper pathways.

Tranexamic acid is synthetically derived from the amino acid lysine. Lysine is an amino acid (a building block of protein).

Tranexamic acid tackles hyperpigmentation by providing a powerful and specific anti-inflammatory action, inhibiting the tyrosinase synthesis in melanocytes. At the same time it blocks the transfer of pigment from melanocytes to keratinocytes in the epidermis. Tranexamic acid also calms the skin and helps restore the skin barrier.

This serum also contains 4% niacinamide to help calm irritation, shrink enlarged pores, target blemishes, help treat acne, improve skin barrier function and also prevent the transfer of melanin production in the skin which potentiates the efficacy of tranexamic acid to ensure dark spots and discolouration are effectively treated.

I diligently used this hyperpigmentation-zapping serum for four weeks and the result was mind-blowing as it eradicated the dark spots on my cheek area and my skin complexion was greatly improved too. This serum is suitable for all skin types. Read my full review here
